Call for expressions of interest in directing RCO activities

Call for expressions of interest in directing RCO activities in N. England, N. Wales, and The Isle of Man

The Royal College of Organists is seeking to expand its teaching and accreditation activities across the UK, so as better to serve the needs of those who play the organ and direct choirs. A recent survey of the sector, conducted by the College, showed that there was demand for greater local delivery of such activities across a broader spectrum, ranging from beginners through to development opportunities for professionals, and embracing both secular and religious contexts. The College has responded to this in a number of ways, including that of introducing a devolved management structure across four areas of the country. Further information on the College’s activities and planned developments may be obtained from the website www.rco.org.uk and at https://www.rco.org.uk/irco.php.

This call invites expressions of interest in directing the College’s current and future activities in the North of England, North Wales, and The Isle of Man – from individuals or organisations. The attached brief outlines the role and I will be happy to discuss it informally if further detail would be helpful; please email me at philip.meaden@rco.org.uk to arrange a suitable time.

The role is available immediately and tenders may be submitted at any time until noon on 21 September. They should be sent to me at the email address given above, and should demonstrate clearly how the applicant is qualified to carry out the role as described in the brief, and the way(s) in which the various duties would be discharged. Please note that CVs alone will not be considered.
