JOHN SCOTT MEMORIAL CONCERT – 16 JULY 2016

A MEMORIAL CONCERT FOR JOHN SCOTT (1956-2015)

WILL BE HELD ON  SATURDAY 16TH JULY 2016 AT 7:00 PM

AT WAKEFIELD CATHEDRAL

8-10 WESTMORLAND STREET, WAKEFIELD, WF1 1PJ

The concert will include a programme of John Scott’s choral music, pieces written in his memory and organ music he loved.

Admission is free (retiring collection for the Cathedral Music Department).  Refreshments will be served after the concert.

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Music to assist with choir recruitment and training,

also to play for  Sunday service

as well as weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies and other services

Remuneration for none Sunday services starts at £100

The Chapel Committee is currently formulating a new salary for the Director of Music

The organ was restored in 1874 and again in 2012 by David Wood of Huddersfield and is in good overall condition
