This class is for any organist with little or no experience accompanying a choir, leading a choir from the organ, or conducting. Simon Williams will have a group of singers on hand to help you practise any or all of these skills. Organ Recital by Sam Barber at Holy Trinity, Huddersfield – 11 July 2015 – 7.30 pm

Sam Barber at Notting Hill

Sam Barber is Organ Scholar at St John’s Notting Hill, London.  He started playing the organ at Holy Trinity in 2011.  He is in his first year studying trombone at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.  Sam studied organ to grade 8 (which he passed with distinction) with David Baker through the Halifax Organ Academy.

The recital will take place on Saturday 11 July at 7.30 pm at Holy Trinity Church, Huddersfield.  Refreshments will be served afterwards and there will be a retiring collection in aid of the African Children’s Choir and the upkeep of the Holy Trinity Organ.
