David Patrick’s recently published four-volume edited of 18th century English organ music should be of great value to students and teachers alike. The music is carefully edited and well printed, with a wide selection of pieces. Of particular value are the editor’s notes on the organs, the compositions and how to register and perform them. I will certainly be recommending the edition to my students.

This treasure house is declining through neglect brought on by changes in musical fashions and redundancy as churches and chapels close.’ Run by Andrew Hayden, I highly recommend the site.
